Brierley Horton, M.S., R.D. is Food & Nutrition Director for Cooking Light, which includes Cooking Light magazine and CookingLight.com, a Meredith Corporation women’s lifestyle brand. Prior to her current role, Brierley was the Nutrition Editor of EatingWell Media Group, which includes EatingWell magazine and EatingWell.com, another Meredith brand. She contributed to several of EatingWell’s award-winning features. Brierley has appeared on national and local broadcasts, including TODAY, Access Hollywood Live, Better TV and MSNBC Live with Thomas Roberts.
Brierley served as President for the Vermont Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and in 2011 was chosen as the Emerging Dietetics Leader by the Vermont Dietetic Association. She holds a master’s degree in Nutrition Communication from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University. A registered dietitian, Brierley’s undergraduate degrees are in Dietetics and Nutrition and Food Sciences from the University of Vermont.
